THE KOKOPELLI 100 MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE & RELAY ANNOUNCES GROOVE LIFE RING SPONSORSHIP
Moab, UT (June 23, 2017) – KOKOPELLI RACING, LLC announces Groove Life Rings as an Official Sponsor of the Kokopelli 100 Mountain Bike Race & Relay. Groove Life Rings will provide a custom Kokopelli 100 Participant Ring for all participants of the individual race, relay race and also sponsors of the event.
“Racing 103 miles from the Colorado boarder to Moab, Utah on the Kokopelli Trail will test participants limits to the upmost. Groove Life Rings are the only rings tough enough for the Kokopelli 100,” said Kokopelli 100 Founder & Owner Mark Jensen. “We are very excited that Groove Life has created a custom Kokopelli 100 Participant Ring that will put a great finishing touch on a bucket list accomplishment for our participants,” said Jensen.
Groove was born out of need by Peter Goodwin, Alaskan adventure guide and lodge owner. "I needed a ring that would stand up to a harsh working environment, keep my finger safe, and one that didn't sweat and get clammy," Peter exclaims.
Peter had tried other "active rings" on the market but they were too bulky, terribly uncomfortable, and didn't handle well under tough conditions. After the 2014 guiding season was over, Peter went to work figuring out how to make the ultimate ring for active enthusiasts. "My mission is to make products that function in my lifestyle as an Alaskan guide. If they can pass the "Alaska" test they can pass any test."
Groove pioneered breathability in their innovative new ring that launched on Kickstarter.com in December 2015. "We designed grooves in the ring that keeps air moving under the ring which eliminates the clammy finger problem. This was the biggest problem with current designs in the market place and we solved it," says Peter.
Not only are Groove rings the only functionally breathable ring on the market, but they are also backed by a lifetime warranty. "We stand behind our rings forever," says Peter. "No matter what you throw at them or how long you've had them, if they stretch, tear or even if you lose them we will replace your ring. Once you are in the Groove family we take care of you."
The Kokopelli 100 Mountain Bike Race & Relay is a 103.6 mile point to point event from the Colorado boarder to Moab, Utah entirely on the iconic and historic Kokopelli Trail on September 9, 2017. Pro racers will compete for $100,000, the largest prize purse in mountain bike history. To learn more about the Kokopelli 100 or register for the event go to www.kokopelli100.com.
